Nature Photography
Wellcome to my homepage!
This homepage presents an excerpt of my photographs which I took during my walks and hiking trips through nature.
The most pictures have been taken at the following places in Germany, which are worth a visit for everybody who loves nature:
Nice places outside Germany:
I hope to be able to extend the list step by step ... as time allows..
As I practice nature photography only as a hobby, I do not claim that the pictures I present on this
homepage are perfect. Thus, please bear with me if not all pictures are presented „always in the best light“ or focus – taking also into account that about 90% of the pictures are captured
while walking around and without the use of a tripod. I will do my best to replace the poor pictures by better ones.
I would be happy if I could share my fascination and interest for birds and nature with any visitor and wish you now an enjoyable walk through my photogallery!

Visiting friends w/o wings ...
Back home ... it's getting fall!
Island in the stream ....
Long walks on the beach, in the dunes, the beautiful salt meadows and the endless, wide open of the Wadden Sea not only have a tremendous relaxing effect, but also make the nature photographer's heart beat faster. You just have to keep your eyes and ears open: Linnet, Goldfinch, Willow Warbler, Curlew, Greenshank, Teal, Arctic tern, black-headed gull, barn swallow, tufted duck, Brent goose, reed bunting, Redshank, Avocet, sedge warbler, sea eagle, black-tailed godwit, barnacle goose, meadow wagtail
... and you shouldn't always just look into thin air ....
There is a lot going on in South Hesse's orchards:
Chaffinch, great spotted woodpecker, jackdaw, pheasant, hare, rabbit, blackcap, deer, speckled wood.
A wonderful spring day in southern Germany is like a week vacation:
Bluethroath, blue tit, goosander (NEW!), yellowhammer, greylag goose, lapwing, black-headed gull, blackcap, purple heron, marsh harrier, stonechat, chiffchaff, little grebe.
"Spring lets its blue ribbon, flying through the air again ..."
Garden dunnock, gray heron, bar-headed goose, white stork, marsh harrier, blue tit, common teal, chiffchaff
... and two very special birds enjoy the first spring feelings ...
Breakfast at minus 10° C at the bird feeding station; the photographer is sitting with a hot mug of coffee behind the window in the warmth: blackbird, great spotted woodpecker, jay, haw finch, middle spotted woodpecker ...
